Head ranger Gazza Dixon fishing dry flies at Llyn Clywedog

Head ranger Gazza Dixon testing the Loop 7X 10-foot 7 WT fly rod and the Loop Oti still water line at Llyn Clywedog.

A day of free rising fish and a great day to test the Loop 7X. This rod is very light for a 7 wt and extremely accurate.

Having used this rod with fast sinking lines and knowing the power it has I was interested to see how it would handle dry fly fishing all day from a drifting boat.

The rod performed fantastic amazingly accurate the rod bends right through to the butt when playing fish and for a 7wt was forgiving when playing fish and helped protect the tippet.
