I began fishing in 1989 and grew up regularly fishing Llyn Brenig and the River Elwy along with attending my local fly dressers guild.
I continued to fish my local area until I joined the British Army in 1997 which saw me relocate from North Wales and although I was quickly thrown into a new way of life my love for fly fishing and fly tying remained. I regularly fished for the Army team – Solider Palmers and continued to fish and fly tie at any given opportunity when on leave. On my exit from the Army in 2012 I relocated back to North Wales permanently and quickly went on to join the hugely successful Welsh Hawks fly fishing team where I feel my fishing and fly tying have continued to go from strength to strength.
In my spare time, I enjoy teaching my two young children the art of fly fishing and tying in the hope they can share my passion with me as they grow.
